ABOUT EMERGICARE :: TRAUMA AND LIF E SUPPORT SERVICES PVT. LTD.

For years since our independence in 1947, emergency care of victims of accidents and acute illnesses has been neglected in our country. In the last few years there has been a new phase of increased awareness of this critical lack and a lot of different programs starting up in various part of the country. We owe this to various groups of intrested individuals and organizations dedicated to developing Emergency Medicine, Emergency Medical Services and Disaster Response Systems. Notable among them are Society of Emergency Medicine in India (S.E.M.I) American Academy for Emergency Medicine in India (A.A.E.M.I), Indian Institute of Emergency Medical Services (IIEMS), Association of Physicians of Indian Organization (A.A.P.I) and Association of Kerala Medical Graduates (AKMG).

It was soon realized that India sorely lacks specialized equipment, materials and supplies needed for training the providers as well as for providing the care itself. It is with this dire need in mind that Emergicare Trauma and Advanced Life Support Services was founded. The company has been operational since 2003 and is located in the 'literacy capital' city, Kottayam, Kerala State.
